MEET JEFF
BACKGROUND
Jeff Dennis is a Bowling Green native. He grew up on his family's farm just south of town and graduated from Bowling Green City Schools. He and his wife, Jessica, and two-year-old daughter, Reese, live on Clay Street just a few blocks from the heart of Downtown Bowling Green. They welcomed their second daughter, Cecilia, on October 28, 2023.
EDUCATION
Jeff is a graduate of Bowling Green City Schools and Bowling Green State University. After graduating from BGSU, he attended the University of Toledo College of Law at night and earned his juris doctor degree in 2021.
COMMUNITY SERVICE
Jeff is committed to helping our community thrive and making Bowling Green a great place to live, work, and raise a family.
In addition to his duties as a member of Bowling Green City Council, Jeff is a member of the Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce, the Bowling Green Arts Council, and a board member of Citizens for BG Dog Parks and the American Association of University Women - Bowling Green Branch. He serves as the Treasurer and a core team member of BG Families for Schools, the grassroots group organizing to pass the high school bond issue this November.
Since joining Council, Jeff has used his free time to start and run a non-profit foundation and help secure more than $165,000 in non-governmental funding for local non-profits and community groups. These efforts have helped fund things like public art, new choir equipment, and community events.
CAREER
Jeff currently works as an attorney at Stearns & Hammer where he assists clients in the areas of real estate and business transactions, landlord/tenant disputes, estate planning, and civil litigation.
